Sale e Pepe is a must on a visit to Marco Island. This Zagat rated Four Diamond restaurant is deserving of every single accolade they have achieved these past 7 years. The restaurant provides a true dining experience, heavy emphasis on experience. This isn’t your frou-frou Barton G kind of dining, nor is it your stuffy warm towel Mr. Chow experience. It is sophistication at it’s simplest. You get all the flavors and none of the gimmicks. Everything flows so easily. As busy as the restaurant may be, you are almost always seated upon arrival. If not (though I have yet to experience this alternative) there is a beautiful lounge just outside. The staff is wonderfully attentive and the wait time is virtually null. From meal to payment there is hardly ever any lag time.
A pristine environment, impeccable wait staff and the view set on the beautiful backdrop that is Marco Island speaks for itself. The restaurant could easily get away with mediocre meals (as so many Miami restaurants do) but executive Chef Giuliano Matarese serves up his best at every turn. There are few restaurants that you can sporadically visit and experience the same caliber of service and dining every time. Sale e Pepe is one of these places. The ambiance is truly sublime and the authentic Italian cuisine matches the surroundings.
When visiting Marco Island, Sale e Pepe is bar none the best dining experience you will have.
The menu is extensive and reasonably priced. Every item is tasty. As a result, it is in your best interest to try something new on every visit. Chef Matarese will definitely meet your palates desires.

[…] Saturday. Take a day trip to Keewaydin Island by boat. Traipse along the white sand beaches and swim up to the boat-vendors where you can purchase hot dogs and other snacks. Keewaydin is great for shelling, the variety of shells here are endless and beautiful. On your way to or from the island, don’t be surprised if you see dolphins following along your boat. Stay long enough and you may even spot some turtles, ospreys or manatees as well. That said, be sure to make it home in time to enjoy a beautiful sunset dinner at Sale e Pepe. […]
